This piece is an abstract expression inspired by the visual language and unforgettable color palette of Zima Blue, from Season 1, Episode 14 of the anthology series Love, Death & Robots. Directed by Robert Valley and based on the short story by Alastair Reynolds, the episode explores identity, purpose, memory, and the quiet pull toward simplicity. Drawn to its deep blacks, luminous blues, and dreamlike contrasts, this artwork reinterprets those emotions through abstraction rather than narrative. The dripping forms and layered textures are a personal response to the episode’s atmosphere, an attempt to translate its feeling of mystery, introspection, and cosmic stillness into paint.
